When you think of biscuits, you think of Bolletje. This Dutch manufacturer of artisanal breakfast products, biscuits, saltines, and snacks has a bakery in Almelo and Heerde, with the head office located in Almelo, where management, technical services, IT specialists, and the HR department are located. Bolletje employs over 350 people and wants to empower employees to send emails with personal and sensitive information securely – the company chose Zivver to exactly that!

Emailing sensitive data securely

Using Outlook, the team wanted to be able to send particularly sensitive information securely. Henriëtte Beld-Bal, HR Officer at Bolletje, will use Zivver when emailing sensitive employee data: "Think, for example, of sickness reports, or when we ask prospective employees to mail personal information that we need for drafting the employment contract."

"Zivver makes secure emailing very easy," Beld-Bal explains. "As soon as the email contains certain words, such as Citizen Service Number or date of birth, Zivver alerts the employee that the email contains personal data. Employees can then send the email securely with the touch of a button. If needed, emails can easily be recalled if a file accidentally goes to the wrong recipient. All emails sent via Zivver are encrypted, meaning only the authorised recipient can access them.” But Zivver proved capable of much more than just secure mail.

Safely sending large files effortlessly

Bolletje bakes countless rusks, biscuits, kruidnootjes and crackers every day. All machines require maintenance and occasional adjustments. Beld-Bal: "Our company looks closely at what the market wants. Healthy breakfast products, for instance, or vegetable crackers. These new products sometimes require adjustments to existing machine environments. Technical drawings are exchanged for this purpose. Those files are often quite large. With Zivver, you can send any type of file up to 5 TB from Outlook, including large videos. Very handy and very secure. The purchasing and sales departments will also start using Zivver. Of course, we don't want the ingredients or recipe of our delicious spiced nuts to end up on the street!"

Securing emails across the organization

The IT department will implement Zivver's secure platform before winter 2022. Employees can attend online training courses explaining step-by-step how Zivver works. "Everyone with an email account will soon be able to use Zivver; that approximately 200 employees. This comprehensive approach ensures that all departments can securely forward information anytime, anywhere," Beld-Bal concludes.
