Zivver is committed to providing products that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. This is why we want to comply with international web content accessibility guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1).

Measures to support accessibility

Zivver takes the following measures to ensure accessibility

  • We include accessibility throughout our internal development policies.
  • We appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson.
  • We provide accessibility training for our development staff.
  • We want to create clear accessibility targets and responsibilities.
  • We employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods
  • We are conducting an audit of our products to better understand how we can improve accessibility for all.
  • We partner with the Dutch Centre of expertise for visually impaired to help test our tools for accessibility

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

The Zivver Message Portal is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of popular browsers using established assistive technology on modern operating systems

The Zivver Message Portal might nog be compatible with:

  • Browsers older than 3 major versions
  • Internet explorer

Areas for improvement and timelines

Despite our best efforts to ensure our accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations we are currently addressing. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for the Zivver Message Portal:

  1. attachments are labeled as “links” instead of files
  2. there is no feedback given that can be picked up by screenreaders when a message is being opened (the loading message screen after a valid code was entered)

 

Assessment approach

Zivver assessed the accessibility of Zivver Web Application and Zivver Guest portal by the following approaches:

  • Self-evaluation
  • We periodically let our software be reviewed by Visio, the Dutch centre of expertise for visually impaired
